Family Course

For parents who want to earn a Green Card and learn how to safely belay their climbing child. A private instructor will teach you everything you need to know to climb safely on your own at Klätterverket. The skills taught to adult participants correspond to what is included in our standard introductory courses.

No prior climbing experience is required.

Course Information

  • Two sessions, two hours each
  • All equipment included
  • Minimum 2 participants (1 adult + 1 child) per booking
  • Recommended for children at least 120 cm tall, so they can reach the holds. Children must also be able to participate for the full duration of the course.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise the full price will be charged

Prices

  • 1,595 SEK per adult
  • 250 SEK per child

First Session

2 hours. Must be booked in advance.
During the first session, an instructor will teach you about equipment, belaying techniques, basic climbing techniques, and everything else you need to safely climb indoors on your own.

Adults will learn how to belay, while the children participate by climbing.

Second Session

2 hours. Must be booked in advance.
In this session, we deepen our knowledge, review what we’ve learned, practice falling, and learn more about climbing techniques and equipment. Adults will also complete the assessment for the Green Card, which includes both a theoretical and a practical test.

The child participates by climbing during part 2 as well. If you prefer, the adult can complete part 2 on their own by booking a Top Rope Course Part 2.
