We create climbing joy
Klätterverket was founded in 1994 in Nacka, Stockholm, and was one of Sweden’s first commercial climbing gyms.
Driven by the founders’ passion for climbing and a vision to make the sport accessible to a wider audience, Klätterverket quickly became a central meeting place for climbers in Sweden. The company built its first climbing center in an old industrial building, setting a new standard for indoor climbing in the country.
During the 1990s and 2000s, climbing grew both internationally and in Sweden. Klätterverket played a key role in bringing the sport to a broader audience by offering accessible courses and training for both beginners and experienced climbers.
Klätterverket was among the first to introduce standardized courses and belay licenses for top-rope climbing. The company also organized competitions and events that helped strengthen climbing as a popular and dynamic sport.
With increasing demand, Klätterverket expanded in 2019 by opening another climbing facility, Klätterverket Gasverket, in Norra Djurgårdsstaden.
Over the years, Klätterverket has remained committed to its vision of creating climbing joy. Its dedication to safety, education, and community has made it a leading actor in the Swedish climbing scene.
On Klätterverket’s YouTube channel, you can find all videos and live streams from the climbing centers.
